WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, March 28, 2025:
- Wilmington non-profit Local Heroes is holding a Comedy Night fundraiser at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Doors open at 7pm. The show starts at 8pm. Wilmington’s own Steve Bjork will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. “The Comedy Barbarian” Mike McCarthy and Jody Sloane will perform. Cash bar. Bring your own food. Tickets are available at the door for $25. Proceeds will support Local Heroes in assisting a Gold Star Family with home repairs.
- The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is closed from 9am to 11am for Staff Training. The Library will be open from 11am to 5pm.
- The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following classes and activities: Zumba (9am); Sewing (9:30am); Wood Carving (10am); Chair Yoga (12:30pm); and Poker (1pm). Learn more HERE.
- CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
- TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
