Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Good Guy Award Committee:
WILMINGTON, MA — You now have less than two weeks left to send in your nomination for the 2025 Wilmington Good Guy Award. We have had many deserving people get nominated over the past several years and have always struggled with choosing that one person who stands out above all others. Your nomination letter might make the difference by telling us that one extra detail that we were not aware of prior to our selection.
What makes that person special when it comes to making a difference in the lives of others? Who donates their time continuously, simply because it is the right thing to do? While many people have a lot to say about how things do and don’t get done around Town, who are those people that are stepping up and actually doing something about it without seeking recognition or credit?
We can’t accept nominations for elected individuals or Town employees who are just “doing their jobs”, but if you have noticed that one person from Wilmington who stands out above the others, how about spending a few minutes and telling us how that person has impacted you or someone else that you know. We would love to help recognize them at this year’s Good Guy Award’s Dinner on May 9th at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

All nominations must be received by Friday April 4, 2025 at 5:00PM. All nomination letters will be acknowledged, and the name of the winner will be sent to all whom submitted letters on their behalf.
