Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in. This group meets every Monday in the cozy seating area on the first floor of the library.
Cookin’ the Books
Tuesday, February 11, 12pm
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! This month’s featured cookbook is Company: The Radically Casual Art of Cooking for Others by Amy Thielen.

VIRTUAL Playful Pathways: Parent Book Club

Over the course of 2025, we will be reading chapters of Ellen Galinsky’s book The Mind in the Making. Because this event will be held via Zoom, children are welcome to be in attendance. A copy of the book will be provided for 20 registrants, however, if the program fills up and you would still like to attend, please feel free to register for the waitlist and acquire the book or borrow it from the library system. An email with the link will be sent to the registered and waitlisted attendees at least one hour before the event. The Zoom link will be the same for each month of the program. This program is recommended for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5.

A longtime seasoned performer, Joe Leary has that way of bringing your musical memories to life as he takes you on a journey with the classic acoustic music from the 60’s & 70’s (Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, John Denver, Sam Cooke, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Harry Chapin, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and more). A graduate of Berklee College of Music and an accomplished Music Educator, Joe has spent the past 45 years of his life dedicated to music education. Relax, reminisce and reflect as Joe Leary brings us back with acoustic musical memories.

New Library Hours
Wilmington Memorial Library has updated its hours! We are open Monday through Thursday from 9 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. and Friday/Saturday from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Stop by and check out what’s new—we can’t wait to see you!
Laminate and Shred Your Documents at the Library!
We now have a laminator and paper shredder set up in our front foyer. They are free to use and we can provide laminating sheets.
Wilmington Mirror Digital Archive
Wilmington Memorial Library recently collaborated with the Harnden Tavern to digitize 98 issues of the Wilmington Mirror newspaper, a precursor to the Wilmington Crusader and Town Crier. The newly digitized issues span the 1930s and 1940s, are searchable, and can be viewed on the library’s website or by going to bit.ly/wilmingtonmirror.
Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open Saturdays from 10am – 4pm. In January and February, the store is closed Wednesdays. Wednesday hours will resume March 5th.
Museum Passes

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
