OBITUARY: Heather A. (Scott) Godinho, 45

TEWKSBURY, MA — Heather A. (Scott) Godinho, age 45, of Tewksbury, passed away on January 22, 2025.

Heather was born on February 2, 1979, in Stoneham, MA; she was the loving daughter of the late John and Karen (Baldwin) Scott. Heather was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Shawsheen Valley Tech with the Class of 1997.

Heather married Frank Godinho in June of 2009; they settled in Tewksbury, where they welcomed their only son, John Joseph Godinho. John was the center of Heather’s world; she loved being a mom and enjoyed watching him grow.

Heather worked as a billing specialist for Kindle Behavior Associates in Burlington for many years. She was always pleasant and friendly to her clients and made special friendships with her co-workers.

Heather had a loving and spunky personality; she had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. She thoroughly enjoyed people and would make new friends wherever she went; she would strike up conversations with everyone, always making people feel comfortable.

Family was everything to Heather; she shared a close bond with her mother, Karen, and was instrumental in Karen’s care. Heather was nurturing and dedicated to her family and friends, always making sure her family was well cared for. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to many.

Heather was the beloved wife of Frank J. Godinho, devoted mother of John Joseph Godinho, dear sister of Kevin Scott of West Newbury, daughter-in-law of Glenice Godinho, niece of Kim Baldwin of Wilmington. Heather is also survived by her sister-in-law Shireen Scott, as well as a large extended family and many loving friends.

Family and friends will gather at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, January 29th at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main Street, (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Memorial donations in Heather’s name may be made to the Mass General Cancer Fund, Mass General Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
