Wilmington Author Contributes To Latest ‘Chicken Soup For The Soul’ Book

PEABODY, MA — Wilmington author Elaine D’Alessandro is holding a book signing and meet-and-greet at Barnes and Noble in Peabody (210 Andover Street) this Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 1pm.

Elaine contributed a powerful story, “Moving Forward,” to the newly released Chicken Soup for the Soul: 101 Ways to Think Positive. Her piece recounts how her husband’s determination and optimism in the face of Parkinson’s reshaped her outlook on life. It’s a heartfelt example of the book’s focus on positivity and resilience.

According to her writer’s bio, Elaine taught kindergarten and first grade for nineteen years after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Later, she completed three graduate courses through the Institute of Children’s Literature; an experience she feels contributes to her writing successes today.

Elaine enjoys writing children’s fiction, and non-fiction short stories inspiring adults. Her work has appeared in children’s magazines, three Writers’ Loft anthologies, and two Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies.

Elaine lives in Wilmington with her husband and has four children and five grandchildren.
