OBITUARY: Helen E. Devlin, 82

BILLERICA, MA — Helen E. Devlin – age 82, beloved wife of Louis W. Devlin died peacefully Friday, January 17 at Care One in Wilmington.

She was born in Boston, July 21, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Madeleine (Belleveau) Conley and was raised in Somerville and has lived in Billerica for 43 years.

Helen was employed for the Billerica School Department having worked at the Billerica Memorial High School as a Social Worker for 30 years prior to her retirement.

Besides her husband, Helen is survived by her daughters, Ann Edwards of S. Hadley and Joan Devlin of Acworth, GA; her sons, Joseph Devlin of Billerica and Peter Devlin of Andover; her sister, Irene Conley of Springfield, VT and is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to Hope Worldwide, www.hopeworldwide.org/donate.

  1. I love this woman. She has helped SO many teens feel safe and heard, with genuine eyes and Heart. You always were an angel! Now you get to watch over all of us at once. Rest comfortably knowing that your heart has helped so many.
