Dear Editor,
The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services would like to thank ROADHOUSE CONSTRUCTION and Home Depot for their generosity and hard work supporting a Vietnam Veteran in Wilmington.
Together with The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, improves the homes and lives of veterans and helps communities affected by natural disasters. Since 2011, Team Depot has volunteered more than 2 million hours of sweat equity to address the immediate needs within its neighborhoods.
The Home Depot supplied all the materials needed to replace a deck and wheelchair ramp and ROADHOUSE CONSTRUCTION sent a team of professionals to install the deck and ramp at NO CHARGE.
Roadhouse Construction has assisted many Veterans in Wilmington and surrounding communities. Pat McGarry is a graduate of Wilmington High School and is the owner of Roadhouse Construction, Pat was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and served in the United States Marine Corp in Afghanistan. After his Honorable Discharge from the Marines Pat continues to pay it forward to the Veteran community. Roadhouse Construction will be installing a new roof on another Vietnam Veterans home soon with the help from Home Depot. The Town of Wilmington is truly blessed to have so many men and women Veterans like Pat that look out for Veterans in need.
PEACE,
Lou Cimaglia IV
Director of Veterans’ Services
