WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, January 5, 2025:

  • The Massachusetts Bridal & Wedding Expo is coming to Wilmington on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm, and Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm, at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). The event features more than 100 exhibitors, covering all aspects of a wedding — gowns, florists, hair & makeup, honeymoon destinations, wedding and event planners, guest accommodations & hotels, photographers, videographers, DJs, bands, photo booths, decor & lighting, reception & wedding venues, tuxedos, jewelry and more. Admission costs $10 at the door.  You can, however, register online and receive free admission HERE.  Children under 16 are free. Parking is free.
  • The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 9am to 2pm at Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment. Donors can also visit http://www.redcross.org to schedule an appointment.
  • The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
  • TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
  • CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
