Enjoy making a craft while socializing with others! This craft group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. All craft supplies provided! January’s featured craft is Junk Journals.
20s/30s Pints + Pages – Pizza Party Edition
Thursday, January 9, 7pm
This is a social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. No pints this time…but pizza will be provided! This month’s meeting location will be at the Wilmington Memorial Library. There is not an assigned book for January. Instead, we ask that everyone bring a couple recommendations of books/movies/series/podcasts, etc. that they enjoyed over the past year!

Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. The first playgroup of every month will focus on infants and toddlers. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome
Kids’ Book Café
Monday, January 6, 6pm
Sample a variety of books, both fiction and nonfiction, revolving around the same genre or theme. Each session will include either a themed snack or activity! Grades 3-5
Preschool Storytime

Join us at our Preschool Storytime! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 3-6
Mindful Movement
Tuesday, January 7, 4pm
Join library pals as we flow through children’s yoga poses, calming activities, and books to help us grow in mindfulness and inner peace. Yoga mats will be provided during the program. Grades K-2
Teen Leadership Council

Music with Dara
Friday, January 10, 10am
With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Lots of clapping, marching, singing, creative expression and FUN! Ages 2-5, siblings welcome
Stranger Safety with the Academy of Traditional Karate
Saturday, January 11, 10am
Join the Academy of Traditional Karate in their Stranger Safety Class! This interactive class will feature a mix of fitness (some running and movement), Karate (learn some awesome Japanese moves) and stranger safety lessons. Participants will learn about awareness, using their voice, and some physical self defense moves. Parents are welcome to be a part of the stranger safety portion of class. Ages 4-12
Movie “Night” with Junior WOW

Join Jr. WOW in your comfiest pjs for another fun event! Watch a movie and enjoy snacks! For families
Teen DnD
Saturday, January 11, 2pm
Looking for a group to play with? Join us for in-person Dungeons and Dragons at the library! You may also participate on Discord, a private server. This session, we’ll be having some fun with D&D themed team building games! You must attend a D&D 101 session at the library before joining our campaign (excluding current players). These will be held monthly on the second Tuesday evening. Please reach out to srottger@wimlibrary.org with any questions! Grades 6-12

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door will be open only on Saturdays from 10am – 4pm in January and February. Wednesday hours will begin again on March 5th. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
Museum Passes

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
