Below is a press release from Wilmington-based Abundant Life Christian School:
WILMINGTON, MA — Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS), a ministry of Abundant Life Church, are pleased to announce an expanded partnership with the Arizona-based McS Charitable Foundation (McS). As an existing financial partner, McS has seen the blessing ALCS’s high-quality, faith based education and nurturing Christian childcare center is to families in North Boston. To accelerate our mission, McS has made a special year ending gift of $60,000 to make the strategic objective of expanding our existing middle school STEM program throughout our elementary school a reality.
“This is a great day for the whole Abundant Life community, and brings a special blessing to countless current and future elementary students,” said Mr. Kelly Blake, Interim President. “I’m incredibly grateful to the McS Charitable Foundation for their generosity and, most importantly, for understanding the impact that our high quality, discipleship infused education makes.”
Through McS partnership the school will be able to complete a multi-year goal to see every student involved in a hands-on, collaborative, age appropriate robotics program.
“This grant is a testament to the McS Charitable Foundation’s commitment to help schools such as ALCS give young minds the ability to create, experiment, learn, adapt and succeed” said Principal Scott Stevens. “We look forward to expanding a program at Abundant Life that fosters curiosity and inspires students to explore STEM, as a large percentage of future jobs will require the skills taught in STEM education. I am confident this show of support and love will inspire alumni and parents to continue to help us in our mission of transforming lives through discipleship and academics in a loving, nurturing community.”
