BOSTON, MA — Wheelock Family Theatre continues its season-long celebration of ‘the power of friendship’ with the Broadway musical, A Year with Frog and Toad. This Tony Award nominated musical is the perfect story to enjoy this holiday season, providing audiences of all ages an opportunity to see theater with the ones you love.
Wilmington’s own Maeve Kennedy is excited to be making her debut at Wheelock Family Theatre in the role as “Young Frog/Mole.” This is the second time she’s been in A Year With Frog and Toad, having previously played Young Frog/Mole at Acting Out! Theater Company.
Kennedy has previously portrayed Matilda at Acting Out! Theater Company; French Narrator in The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition at North Shore Music Theater; Troll in the pilot production of Between the Lines, Jr. at Broadway Workshop (NYC); Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Jr. at Acting Out! Theater Company.
Based on the popular children’s books by celebrated author Arnold Lobel, WFT’s A Year with Frog and Toad brings Lobel’s loveable characters off the page with vibrant music, dynamic choreography and imaginative storytelling, transporting audiences into a vivid picture book world. WFT’s production will be directed by Elliott Norton Award winner Leigh Barrett with music direction by Elliott Norton Award winner David Freeman Coleman and choreography by WFT favorite Brad Reinking.
