NEW STEW: Watch December Episode Of WCTV’s ‘Book Stew’ Featuring Author Sarah Lariviere

Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”

Hello to all my scarred and hurting Book Stew viewers and listeners! I’m proud to introduce Edgar Award nominee Sarah Lariviere and her novel Riot Act in the December episode.

The story takes place in a dystopian past/future, an alternative 1991, where a huckster salesman named Bud Hill becomes President-For-Life. All creative activities are banned and 1984-ish surveillance rules all. But a defiant group of high school theatre kids and their bold teacher work feverishly on their performance of Henry VI Part 1, a rarely performed Shakespeare play with strong female leads, including Joan of Arc. When they fight authority, who wins?
