WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, December 5, 2024:

• The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Hiking Group (9am); Gentle Yoga (9am); Art (9:45am); Crocheting & Knitting (10:30am);  Ceramics (1:30pm); and Functionally Fit (2pm). Learn more HERE.
• The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Baby Time (10am).
• TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
• CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
• GIVING TREE DONATIONS WANTED: The Wilmington Senior Center’s Annual Giving Tree is back! The tree is decorated in ornaments with ideas of needed gifts for the seniors of Wilmington. The Giving Tree gives the community an opportunity to help others in town. Stop by the Center to choose an ornament. Then return the wrapped gift (with tag) back to the Center by December 18, 2024.
