NEW SENIOR CENTER: Read The Latest Newsletter For The Senior Center Building Project

WILMINGTON, MA — Read the latest newsletter for the Wilmington Senior Center Building Project, published by P3, the project’s OPM firm.

To the Residents of Wilmington,

We are excited to bring you the latest update on the progress of our beloved Wilmington Senior Center! The construction team has been hard at work, and we have some significant developments to share with you.

Parking Lot Paved and Painted

The parking lot has been fully paved and striped, ensuring ample and clearly marked parking spaces for visitors. This improvement enhances the site’s accessibility and safety, providing smooth entry and exit for cars and pedestrians. The freshly painted lines and markings also add to the professional appearance of the property.

Siding and Roof Nearly Complete

The installation of the building’s siding and roofing is nearly finished, with only minor details remaining. The final work, including painting the trim around the main entrance, is underway and will ensure the building is fully enclosed and weatherproof. These features not only protect the structure but also enhance its aesthetic appeal, giving it a fresh and modern look.

Patio Pouring Progressing

Crews are in the final stages of pouring the patio, shaping it into a comfortable and inviting outdoor space. Once complete, this patio will serve as an ideal spot for seniors to enjoy gatherings, events, or quiet relaxation. Designed with accessibility and functionality in mind, this feature underscores the center’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment.

Lobby and Hallway Tile Installation Begun

Inside the building, the tile work in the lobby and hallways has begun. These tiles are not only visually appealing but are also chosen for their durability and ease of maintenance. The careful installation process ensures a seamless and polished finish, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.

Looking Ahead

As construction continues, we’re focused on completing the exterior siding and roofing, finishing the patio, and progressing with interior work such as flooring and fixture installations. Each step brings us closer to welcoming Wilmington’s seniors to their new home away from home.
