OBITUARY: Paulette (Pircio) Condell, 66

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Paulette (Pircio) Condell, age 66, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Paulette was born on June 26, 1958, as the fourth of five cherished children of the late Anthony and Louise (Lawton) Pircio. Born and raised in Brockton, MA, Paulette attended St Casimir’s Grammar school, East Junior High, and Brockton High (the largest high school in the eastern United States.) During her time in school, she fostered a love of and talent in drawing and painting and along with her brothers and sisters help keep up the family home.

Paulette attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, as a part of only the fourth coed class to enter the University, and graduated in the class of 1978 with her Associates Degree in Building Construction Technology. She would later earn her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management from Northeastern with the class of 1986.

Paulette married her husband, Robert, in 1987 and settled in Wilmington, MA, where they would remain and raise their sons and where she was the definition of a mother and home maker. Home cooked meals, large holiday gatherings, and weekdays and weekends alike spent at the fields for athletics were staples in the household Paulette made, all while starting and building her impressive professional resume.

Paulette began her career in construction shortly after graduating and worked as an Estimator for some of Boston’s most well-known specialty construction and restoration companies. She forged a path in a male dominated industry, ascending to Director of Pre-Construction and Sales and having mentored several other women in the industry before retiring in 2024.

In her later years, Paulette, known as “Nanny”, focused life on her two grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Paulette was analytical and calculated, but enjoyed the change of pace that a book, a glass of wine, sunshine, and traveling provided.

Paulette was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Condell, devoted mother of Michael A. Condell and his wife Samantha of East Hampstead, NH, and the late Alex S. Condell. Loving “Nanny” of John and Robbie Condell, dear sister of Marilyn Masaitis and her husband Jerry of East Freetown, MA, Paul Pircio and his wife Ann of Brockton, Carolyn Lindberg of New Hampshire, and the late Peter Pircio, wonderful sister-in-law of Helen Condell of Methuen and Stacey Condell of Haverhill. Paulette is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, November 14th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. All are welcome to gather at the Funeral Home on Friday, November 15th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:30 a.m. with Interment to follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
