WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for October 27, 2024: 2 OUI Arrests, 2 Shoplifting Arrests & 1 Assault Arrest

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, October 27, 2024:
  • A caller reported there is a kid riding a dirt bike up and down Chestnut Street. When a vehicle approaches, the kid turns the headlights off. Bike was gone by the time police arrived. (12:06am)
  • Matthew Katongole (22, Waltham) was arrested for OUI Liquor. Katongole was allegedly involved in a hit and run on 93. He was pulled over on Burlington Avenue. (8:05am)
  • Animal Control Officer notified of injured turkey on Salem Street. (9:28am)
  • Sharon Elderd (61, Wilmington) was served a summons for Shoplifting By Asportation (valued at $250+). Alleged incident took place at Target. (2:10pm)
  • Benjamin Charles McEwen (21, Wilmington) was arrested for Assault and Assault & Battery. A caller reported McEwen punched his vehicle’s window several times, and punched a neighbor in the face. (3:54pm)
  • Adelle Linnay Murphy (31, Portsmouth, NH) was arrested for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. Murphy was involved in a one-vehicle crash near Deming Way. (4:15pm)
  • Jacqueline Lee Nugent (42, Peabody) was arrested on 5 warrants. Matthew Citro (44, Chelsea) was arrested on a warrant and Intimidation of a Witness/Juror/Police Officer/Court Official. They were allegedly involved in an incident at Target attempting to steal a vacuum. Nugent attempted to flee while being placed in custody and fell. She complained of leg pain and was transported to the hospital. (6:12pm)
