BABSON PARK, MA — Babson College Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Scott Dietz has announced the hiring of Kristen Connors as the department’s new Marketing and New Media Specialist.
Connors come to Babson after five years at The Needham Channel where she started as an associate producer before being promoted to the lead sports producer in January 2021. She managed multiple roles as an anchor, broadcaster and technical director while producing live coverage of sporting events for more than 20 teams at Needham High School.

She also developed feature stories, created public service announcements and graphics, and produced content for social media during her time at The Needham Channel.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Kristen to our team”, said Dietz. “To see how this position has evolved over the years is exciting, and we have full confidence Kristen will seize the opportunity to make her own mark while positively impacting the Babson student-athlete experience.
“Kristen brings a vast array of knowledge and experience in the digital space, including graphic design, production and streaming to go alongside photography, social media and video, and we know with her skillset she’ll hit the ground floor running. We’re looking forward to having Kristen as a valued member of the athletics department and the Babson community.”
A 2019 graduate of Newbury College, Connors was a four-year member of the women’s basketball. She earned her B.A. in communications with a focus in media production while helping the Nighthawks advance to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament final in both 2016 and 2018.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Babson community and I can’t wait to dive right into the action,” commented Connors. “A passion of mine is being able to tell the stories of student-athletes, coaches and programs and I’m looking forward to making connections with the ones here at Babson and bringing their stories to life. To me, Babson stands out as not only one of the best colleges to attend, but one of the best communities to be a part of. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity given to me and I’m excited to get started.”
