OBITUARY: Ronald A. Berry, 83

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Berry, formerly of Wilmington, on September 29, 2024, at the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, MA.

Ronald was born on September 8, 1941, in Randolph, Vermont, to Howard and Helen Berry. Ron peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.

Ron graduated in 1959 from the Bethel, Vermont school system. Shortly after, he moved to Boston, where he met the love of his life and best friend, Barbara (Newell), daughter of Frank and Dorothy Newell. They were married for 34 wonderful years until Barbara’s passing in April 1997. Together, they built a life full of love, raising their family with unwavering devotion. Barbara’s twin sister, Beverly, and brother, Frank, predeceased her, but their memories remained close to Ron’s heart.

Ron was one of six siblings. He was predeceased by his brothers Douglas and Clifford, and sisters Janice and Denise. He is survived by his loving sisters, Patsy Gilman and her husband Bob, and Cynthia Berry and her husband David Pingree.

Ron found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan, rarely missing a game on Sunday. A Dunkin Donuts coffee with an old-fashioned or jelly donut in hand always brought a smile to his face. More than anything, Ron treasured time spent with his family, finding joy in the moments shared with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Greg Berry and his wife Lori, and Eric Berry and his wife Jill. Ron was a proud and loving grandfather to Greg and Lori’s children—Jordan Swenson, Matthew Berry and his wife Lauren, and Aaron Myers—as well as Eric and Jill’s children—Tyler Berry and his wife Kelsey, Ethan Berry and his wife Hannah, Christopher Berry and their daughter Coco and her husband Frank Pepe. His beloved great grandchildren Daniel Swenson, Hunter Jessee, Dahlia and Violet Berry, and Malcolm Pepe, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Funeral Services for Ronald will be private.

His gentle spirit, sense of humor, and enduring love for his family will be missed but never forgotten.
