WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, October 10, 2024:

  • RMLD invites Wilmington residents to its Open House from 3pm to 6pm at the RMLD Garage (218 Ash Street, Reading). This fun and educational event will feature family-themed activities such as face painting, balloon art, a caricaturist, kid’s games and prizes, pumpkin decorating, a lineman dress-up activity, an electric vehicle showcase, touch-a-truck and more. RMLD staff will be on hand to educate attendees on electricity, electrical safety, energy conservation, and to share information about RMLD programs. Learn more HERE.
  • The Shawsheen Elementary School’s School Advisory Council meets at 8am in the School’s Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Hiking Group (9am); Gentle Yoga (9am); Art (9:45am); Crocheting & Knitting (10:30am);  Ceramics (1:30pm); and Functionally Fit (2pm). The Center is also hosting a Flu Clinic at noon. Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following activities: Costume Craze Collection Ends; Baby Time (10am); Crafternoon (3:45m); and Introduction to Italian (6:30pm).
  • TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
