LETTER: Resident Thanks Wilmington Fourth Of July Committee, “I Didn’t Think Communities Like This Still Existed”

Dear Editor,

I would like to take a few minutes to thank all involved in putting on the second annual Fall Fest. It was an amazing day for families and friends to get together, enjoy the nice weather, some fantastic food and support local groups and vendors. With over 7000 people and 125 vendors, it was a huge success.

Great job by Patrick Giroux and his committee who work tirelessly to put on fantastic community events.

Thank you to the Police, Fire, Public Buildings and DPW departments who work closely with the Fourth of July committee to make Fall Fest, the Holiday Festival and Fun on the Fourth a huge success every year.

I would like to thank the local businesses, youth groups and community groups who also supported this event.

When you hear people make a comment such as ” I didn’t think communities like this existed anymore”, when they saw volunteers from the Wilmington High Football team, many other students from Wilmington High and students from Shawsheen tech, it truly shows what a great town Wilmington is.

Special thank you to the town manager and the four members of the select board who supported the event, without your support events like this couldn’t happen.

Again great job to everyone involved and thank you for making Wilmington a special place to live.

Sincerely,

Steven Hunt
