LETTER: Patrick Giroux Thanks Community For Successful 2nd Annual Fall Fest

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Wilmington Fourth of July Committee, we wish to express sincere thanks to those who attended our 2nd annual Fall Fest on Saturday, September 28th, and to the Town Manager, Select Board, DPW, Public Buildings, Police, Fire and Health Departments for their support of this new community tradition.

Attended by over 7,100 attendees, showcasing 125+ businesses, vendors, and food trucks, the event was a culmination of community and seasonal spirit.

A special thank you to the nearly 100 volunteers who supported the event, the local construction, landscaping and specialty service companies for the “touch a truck,” Jr. WOW for supporting the children’s area, WOW Factor Auto Detailing for the morning breakfast, and those who joined in the Fall Fest 5k.

A first for Wilmington, we enjoyed the introduction of our “Fall Beer, Wine and Cider Fest” as part of this event, thanks to the trust of our Select Board and Town leadership.

The overall event could not be possible without the generous contribution of Wayne’s Drains, AJ’s Pizza, Pearle Vision, CMS Plumbing, John’s Sewer, and Slate Beauty.

All monies raised during this event support our Tree Lighting and Fun on the Fourth events.

We are also pleased that proceeds raised from this event will support the Wilmington Special Olympics games in Spring, 2025.

The event was planned and sponsored by the volunteers of the Wilmington Fourth of July Committee, a group of 10 residents committed to Wilmington’s traditions, community spirit, and bettering the town.
