OBITUARY: Patricia K. (Lomartire) Brady, 70

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Patricia K. Brady (Lomartire), fondly known as “Trisha” to her family and friends, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 19, 2024; she was 70 years old.

Trisha was born in Worcester, MA, grew up in Malden, MA and raised her beautiful family, with her husband Mark, in Wilmington, MA. Trisha is the daughter of Alfred and Kathryn (Dailey) Lomartire. Trisha is the beloved sister of Judy Lubin and husband Tom of Malden, MA, and sister-in-law of William Frano of Bronx, NY. She is predeceased by her sisters Ellen Coffin and husband Walter of Melrose, MA, Jane Frano of Bronx, NY, and brothers Paul Lomartire and wife Nancy of Wakefield, MA, and Nicholas Lomartire of Malden, MA.

Trisha is the loving and devoted wife to her husband, Mark, and the beautiful and selfless mother to her two sons, Scott Brady and wife Stephanie of Ocean, NJ and her son Timothy Brady, who also left us all too early. Trisha was most affectionately known as “the fun aunt” to over 30 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews! She is loved by many brothers-in-law. Sister-in-laws, Noreen McGee, Karen Brady, Judy Brady, and Terry Brady, were not only sisters-in-law but trusted and treasured friends. From the streets of Malden to the football fields in Wilmington and everywhere in between, she developed many childhood and lifelong friendships, which also became family to her. Her most favorite title change came when she became Teesha to her smiling, happy grandson, Kelley.

Trisha graduated from Malden High School – she would NEVER let anyone know the year! Although Trisha and Mark both graduated from Malden High School, they didn’t meet until after high school. They dated and married in 1985 and began their family shortly after.

She spent the majority of her career working as a medical secretary and insurance administrator. Trisha’s career spanned over 30 years working in various hospitals and private practices. Although she valued hard work and instilled that work ethic into her children, time with her family was what she truly cherished.

She lived for holidays, vacations, celebrations, and any event that could be spent with the ones she loved. She started Christmas shopping in July and was usually done before Thanksgiving. She showed up to every football game but would still ask how many points a touchdown was worth. She attended every play and musical concert, even if she may have taken a quick nap towards the end! Trisha loved her family with her heart and soul. Her husband, children, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends always came first. Her kitchen was always stocked with cookies, chips, soda, a pot of meatballs, a bottle (or three) of wine, and all the ingredients for an impromptu party. If she wasn’t with her family and you couldn’t find her, you had to check the casinos. She always had a ticket to scratch or a Keno ticket to check. From Florida to Hull to the Jersey Shore, she loved the beach, the sun, the sand, and the water. To know her was to love her. And she was certainly loved by many!

We will celebrate and honor her life with a wake at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., in Wilmington, MA on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4-7 pm. We will continue to celebrate her life with a funeral service at Nichols Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 10:30 am with a graveside burial service to follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington. Trisha’s selfless, giving, loving body will be laid to rest beside her son, but her fun-loving, silly, charismatic, energetic spirit will be forever remembered. May her and Timmy dance in the sky together!
