Select Board To Consider Calling Special Town Meeting On December 7 For MBTA Communities Act Zoning Vote

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, September 9, 2024 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

The meeting has a number of items on the agenda. Here are some highlights:

• The Select Board will consider calling a Special Town Meeting for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 9am in the High School Auditorium. Residents will be asked to consider amending the Zoning Bylaw and Zoning District Map to create a new MBTA Communities Multi-family Overlay District, which was referred back to the Planning Board after the Annual Town Meeting.
• The Select Board will consider appointing Stephanie Frontiera as the town’s next Town Accountant/Finance Director.
• The Select Board will consider the request of In The Mix Beverage Catering to obtain a one-day alcohol license to sell beer and wine at the Fall Fest.
• The Select Board will consider the request of the Recreation Department to hold its Annual Horribles Parade on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
• The Select Board will consider appointing Joe Maselli to the Town’s Economic Development Committee.
