WILMINGTON, MA — Janet M. (Sarkisian) Smith, age 82, of Wilmington, passed away on August 9, 2024.
Janet was born on September 18, 1941, in Cambridge, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Edward R. and Jennie (Flores) Sarkisian. Janet was raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School.
Janet moved to Wilmington in 1964, where she raised her two daughters, Sharon, and Sheila.
In her spare time, Janet enjoyed her pets, feeding the birds, helping stray animals that crossed her path. She loved going for walks, visiting her parents in Arlington, going to the beach and going out to eat. Janet also enjoyed going to her granddaughter Katrina Trocha’s dance recitals.
Janet was the beloved wife of the late William T. Smith, “Bill”, devoted mother of Sharon Coleman and Sheila Trocha & her husband Joseph, grandmother of Katrina Trocha, dear sister of Edward J. Sarkisian of Indio, California. Janet is also survived by many loving nieces.
Funeral arrangements for Janet will be private.
