WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for July 20, 2024

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, July 20, 2024:
  • A Woburn St. caller reported a dirt bike was in the area honking its horn and turning in the middle of the street. Police were unable to locate. (12:07am)
  • Police checked on two female juveniles on Carter Lane, near the playgrounds. Police gave each a ride home. (1:25am)
  • Police noted the word “DAZE” was spray-painted on the Eastern Bank sign. (1:29am)
  • Graffiti was documented in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (12:13pm)
  • A caller reported a woman was begging for money in the Market Basket parking lot. She was asked by management to leave and refused. Police responded and advised the woman, who agreed to find a new location for the day. (1:22pm)
  • A Grand St. caller reported vandalism to a fence. (1:44pm)
  • A Glen Rd. caller reported an injured goose was in her yard with an apparent wing issue. Police provided numbers to wildlife rescue organizations, and left a message for the Animal Control Officer. (5:04pm)
  • A Lockwood Road reported hearing three gunshots. Police responded and determined it was likely a vehicle on the highway backfiring. Nothing suspicious was seen in the area. (9:39pm)
