TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Woburn St., Over I-93, Will Be Reduced To One Lane Beginning July 29

Below is a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation:

WILMINGTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing lane closures on Woburn Street over I-93 in Wilmington, beginning on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 7am. Vehicles traveling on Woburn Street will encounter a temporary traffic signal while the bridge is reduced to one lane, allowing alternating traffic through the work area.

These lane closures will allow work to continue on the bridge rehabilitation and preservation project currently under construction. Work will consist of the removal of the pavement and subsequent concrete deck repairs as needed, as well as installation of new bridge pavement, bridge joints, and sidewalk repairs.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
