NEW SENIOR CENTER: Read The Latest Newsletter For The Senior Center Building Project

WILMINGTON, MA — Read the July 2024 newsletter for the Wilmington Senior Center Building Project, published by P3, the project’s OPM firm.

To the Residents of Wilmington,

We are excited to bring you the latest update on the progress of our beloved Wilmington Senior Center! The construction team has been hard at work, and we have some significant developments to share with you.

June Progress Report

We are excited to share the latest updates on the construction progress at the Wilmington Senior Center. Significant strides have been made this month, and we’re thrilled to see the vision for our new center coming to life.

Wood Framing and Timber Trusses

The wood framing, including the impressive Gluelam Timber Trusses, is substantially complete. This milestone brings us one step closer to the structure taking its full shape and adds a beautiful architectural element to our new facility.

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Work

Our team continues to make progress on the MEP rough-in work. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are essential for the functionality of the center, and we are diligently working to ensure they are installed to the highest standards.

Upcoming Work

Roofing and Masonry

Looking ahead, we expect roofing and masonry work to begin in earnest. These phases are crucial for sealing and protecting the building, allowing us to move forward with interior finishes as scheduled in the fall season. This progression will ensure we stay on track for the grand opening of the Wilmington Senior Center.

The Wilmington Senior Center is rapidly taking shape, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our construction team. We look forward to more milestones in the upcoming months!
