STONEHAM, MA — Matthew L. Scullari, of Stoneham, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. He was 33 years young.

Matthew was born in Boston and raised in Wilmington. He was a proud graduate of the Shawsheen Technical High School class of 2009, where he excelled in the Carpentry program. Matthew found great joy in the company of his family and friends, their presence always bringing a bright smile to his face.

A true Bostonian at heart, Matthew was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams, with a special passion for the Patriots and the Celtics. His enthusiastic cheers could be heard whenever a game was on, his loyalty unwavering.

In his quieter moments, Matthew loved to listen to music, watching movies and relax either by the poolside or at the beach, soaking in the serenity of the outdoors. He possessed an adventurous spirit and thrived on living life on the wild side, embracing every moment with zest and curiosity.

Matthew will be remembered for his gentle spirit and his heart of gold, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. His warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving behind cherished memories that will be held close in the hearts of his loved ones.
Matthew’s untimely passing leaves a void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the memories and stories shared by all who were fortunate enough to have called him a friend.

He was the beloved son of Louise Mahoney-Scullari of Stoneham and the late Joseph Scullari who died in 2020. Devoted brother of Mark Scullari of Wilmington. Cherished uncle of Anthony and Vincent Scullari of California. Loving nephew of Lawrence Mahoney and his wife Sandy of Arkansas, Mary Mahoney of Stoneham, Pasqualina “Rita” Fama and her late husband John of Las Vegas, Theresa Trupiano and her husband Salvatore of Staten Island, NY, the late Angelo Scullari and his surviving wife Vita of Brooklyn, NY, and the late Michael and Louie Scullari. Also survived by many loving cousins, extended family members and friends.

A private visitation and prayer service will in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville.
