WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department has an exciting lineup of Concerts on the Common this July. Concerts take place on Wednesday nights, from 6:30pm to 8pm, on the Town Common.
Bring a chair or a blanket, and relax to the sweet sounds of summer.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 6:30pm-8pm, Ball in the House will perform. The group is a cappella at its best! As the Boston Globe put it, “Ball in the House has everything you would expect to find in a successful pop/rock band… the one thing it doesn’t have is instruments.” (Rain date: Thursday, July 11, 2024)
On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 6:30pm-8pm, the Ricco Barr Band will perform. The Rico Barr Band is New England’s Premier Swing and Party Band. Although they were nominated as Swing Band of The Year by the National Swing Awards, their repertoire includes much more. They perform selections from the Jazz and Rock decades including Motown and R&B.. (Rain date: Thursday, July 18, 2024)
On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 6:30pm-8pm, Southern Rail will perform. Southern Rail’s bluegrass is high octane exuberant fun with stunning harmonies, irrepressible good humor and sparkling banjo, guitar and mandolin. Their repertoire is fresh and diverse, featuring lots of originals plus a kaleidoscope of covers (Paul Simon, Crosby Stills and Nash, Mavis Staples, and Earl Scruggs). On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 6:30pm-8pm, Joe Leary will perform. Long time Wilmington resident Joe Leary returns, covering the likes of The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, John Denver, Pop Country and other Acoustic Classics. Everyone is sure to sit back, relax and enjoy the memories these songs have brought us. (Rain Date: Thursday, August 1, 2024)
