Adult Programs

Needleworkers at Night
Monday, July 8, 6pm
These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! This group meets every Monday night in the cozy seating area on the first floor of the Library.

Tinkercad and 3D Printing
Monday, July 8, 6:30pm
Come watch a bookmark be 3D Printed and design your own in Tinkercad. Due to time constraints, your bookmark will be printed later. Feel free to bring your own laptop.

Zoo New England’s Field Conservation Team

Join us for a talk with the Zoo New England (ZNE) Field Conservation Team working “beyond the zoo” to protect rare wildlife in New England’s wild places.

Speed Puzzling: Talk and Puzzle Race!
Saturday, July 13, 2pm
First, join us for a speed puzzling strategy talk with competitive speed puzzler Emma Pan. Then put your team’s puzzling skills to the test as you race to complete a 500 piece puzzle in 90 minutes!

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, July 8, 10am
The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. The first playgroup of every month will focus on infants and toddlers. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

The Joys of Nature – Live Endangered Animals Show
Monday, July 8, 6pm
Learn about endangered species in the wild here in New England, and around the world, and what we can all do to help them. Don’t miss meeting some of their animal relatives up close and personal! Ages 5+

Outdoor Preschool Storytime

Join us at our Preschool Storytime outside in the Peggy Kane Reading Garden! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 3-6

Stardew Valley Fest

Attention all hardworking farmers of Stardew Valley! Join us for themed crafts, snacks, and trivia celebrating the best (according to Teen Librarian Sara) farming sim of all! Don’t worry, unlike the Flower Dance, you won’t need to worry about asking your friends to dance. Grades 6-12

Attend our July book group while enjoying popsicles with friends! Calling all summer bookworms! Attend our book group while enjoying popsicles with friends! The featured book is The Lightning Thief, a graphic novel by Rick Riordan, book one in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series. This book group will meet on Wednesdays between July 3 and July 24 (four sessions). Please sign up for each session individually. Ages 8-12

Music with Dara
Friday, July 12, 10:30am
With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Lots of clapping, marching, singing, creative expression and FUN! Ages 2-5, siblings welcome

Switch it Up! Video Game Club

Love video games? Come to this once-a-month video game club to play Switch games with friends! Grades 1-5

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.

The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
