OBITUARY: Warren K. O’Brien, 71

WILMINGTON, MA — Warren K. O’Brien, age 71, of Wilmington, MA, passed away on June 24, 2024, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, following a brief illness.

Warren was born on April 16, 1953; he was the dear son of the late Edward and Florence O’Brien. Warren was raised and educated in East Boston and Winthrop where he made many friends.

Prior to retiring, Warren, worked as a Longshoremen for the BSA/ILA in Boston for many years.

Warren was the beloved husband of 42 years to Paulette O’Brien (Ragucci) of Wilmington, devoted father of Kristen Gibson and her husband Nicholas, loving “Papa Warren” of Gabriel and Vivien Gibson all of Stoneham. Dear brother of Florence O’Brien of Raynham, the late Peggy Luckman, and the late Edward O’Brien Jr., son-in-law of Susan and the late Gabriel Ragucci of Stoneham. Warren is also survived by an extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Friday, June 28th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
