  • The 2024 Wilmington Fun on the Fourth continues on the Town Common and in the High School parking lot.
    • 5pm-10pm: Carnival by Cushing Amusements  — buy credits online at cushingamusements.com
    • 6pm-8pm: Rotary Dinner — $8 — Hamburger, Hot Dog, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Cookies, Lemonade & Water
    • 6pm-9pm: Performance by The Rusty Randoms — sponsored by the Wilmington Rotary Club
    • 6pm: Horseshoes — Sign up in the Fourth of July Headquarters
    • 6:30pm: Firecracker 5K & Family Fun — Register HERE — $35 Entrance Fee — Registration includes professional timing, shirt, medal, finish line refreshments!
    • 7pm: The Great Wilmington Pie Bake Off with Celebrity Judges (NEW THIS YEAR!) — Register in advance in the Fourth of July HQ
  • The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Hiking Group (9am); Gentle Yoga (9am); Art (9:45am); Crocheting & Knitting (10:30am); Country Line Dancing (10:30am); Ceramics (1:30pm); and Functionally Fit (2pm). Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following activities: Outdoor Baby Time (10am) and Crafternoon: Gel Printmaking (3pm).
  • Town Beach at Silver Lake is open for the Summer 2024 season from Saturday, June 8, 2024 through Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 10am to 6pm, each day. Residents, with proof of residency, may use the beach at no charge. Learn more HERE.
  • TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
