Wilmington Select Board To Discuss West St. Development, Wildwood School Building Project Costs, National Night Out & More At June 24 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, June 24, 2024 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

The meeting has a number of items on the agenda. Here are some highlights:

  • The Select Board will review a memo regarding an increase in estimated costs for the Wildwood School Building project.
  • The Select Board will review a memo regarding possible changes to the town’s White Goods / CRT Recycling program.
  • Wilmington Police Chief Joseph Desmond will give a brief update on National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Rotary Park.
  • The Select Board will consider whether or not to sign a LIP (Local Initiative Program) relative to a development project on West Street. The board will hear a presentation on the matter.
  • The Select Board will consider the request of a new Subway franchise owner at 206 Ballardvale Street to obtain a common victualer license.
  • The Select Board will consider signing a contract with Town Counsel for FY25.

The Board will meet from 6pm to 7pm in Executive Session to discuss litigation involving 64 Wildwood Street (property taken by eminent domain for Wildwood Cemetery expansion) and 333 Andover Street (Sciarappa Farm).
