Below is a press release from the Tewksbury Public Library:
Kids can’t have all the fun. Adults are invited to take part in the library’s inaugural Adult Summer Fest.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Celebrate the start of your summer with the Adult Summer Fest this Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm, at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street).
Play a free 9-hole game of mini-golf inside the library’s Meeting Room, from 6pm to 9pm. There will be ticketed tee times, so you don’t have to wait around in line after receiving your ticket. This custom-made course features fun glow-in-the-dark LED holes and golf balls.
Grab dinner from two of Tewksbury’s favorite food trucks – Empanada Dada and Eggroll Café – on the library’s back lawn, from 6pm to 8pm. The trucks accept cash and credit.
Got a sweet tooth? Make your own sundae at the free sundae bar, inside the library’s lobby area, from 6pm to 8pm, while supplies last.
Enjoy a free concert, featuring The Dapper Gents, in the library’s new outdoor performance space, from 7pm to 8:30pm. This local folk-rock band covers a wide variety of musicians, from Elvis Presley, John Lennon, James Taylor, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty to Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, John Mayer, Death Cab For Cutie, Of Monster and Men and Coldplay. Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets.
Registration is required. To register, call the library at 978-640-4490, email rhayes@tewksburypl.org, or visit https://tinyurl.com/tplsummerfest.
Overflow parking is available in the field across from the library’s parking lot.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled, but the activities inside the library will still take place, and the food trucks will be present if deemed safe to do so.
The Adult Summer Fest is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to attend to this event. Families with teens and kids are encouraged to attend the Summer Kick Off on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm, at Livingston Park (288 Livingston Street).
This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library and 100 People Who Care Tewksbury.
