OBITUARY: Richard Carr Lyford, 73

WILMINGTON, MA — Richard Carr Lyford, of Winchester, MA and Machiasport, Maine, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on June 9, 2024, at age 73 after a years-long battle against colon cancer.

The eldest son of the late Willis C. “Bud” Lyford and the late Edith Emma Marie (Asmussen) Lyford both of Wilmington, MA. Richard is survived by his wife Lynn (Wachtel) – the love of his life. Also survived by two brothers Robert W. Lyford of Chevy Chase, MD and Willis F. Lyford of Harbert, MI and by a sister, five nephews, and one niece.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 14th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Richard’s and Lynn’s home at 12 Prospect Street in Winchester, MA.
