Below is an obituary from Barile Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service:

STONEHAM, MA — Joshua R. Stockbridge of Stoneham, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at the age of 46.

Born in Wilmington on July 15, 1977, Josh was the cherished son of Robert Stockbridge and Maeva (Dermody) Stockbridge. Known for his fun-loving, loyal, intelligent, and caring nature, Josh was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A passionate and committed family man, Josh’s absence leaves a void in the many lives he touched.

Josh earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He maintained his passion for writing and reading throughout his life, contributing to several local newspapers. His greatest joy, however, was a love for writing and reading to his daughters.

Josh cherished the time spent with his daughters and his best friend and wife, Josephine. Their souls connected deeply, bonded by heartfelt conversations and a shared love of music, epitomized by their first date at a Staind concert.

Josh leaves behind his wife, Josephine Pascuccio, and was a devoted father and best friend to his daughters, Faith James Stockbridge and Lylah James Stockbridge. He is also survived by his brothers, Caleb Stockbridge, Matthew Stockbridge, and Robert Stockbridge. He was a loving brother-in-law to Laura Capello, Toni Pascuccio, Rosa Willis, Diana Pascuccio, Cristina Pignone, Angela Miller, Lisa-Marie Pascuccio, Shelley Kilty, Joseph Pascuccio, and Steve Kamalic. Josh was the cherished uncle of Gabriel and Nora Stockbridge, Alana, Javin, Ayla and Jason Willis, Sean and Talia Herbert, Tiana, Kaylee, Olivia and Ricky Pignone, Zoe and Isabella Miller, Haydn, Adysn, Peytn and Avyln Kilty, Alena and Wynter Pascuccio.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Josh’s Family on Wednesday, June 12th, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) Stoneham. Parking attendants and an elevator are available.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Josh’s memory to NAMI 430 Wilson Blvd., Ste. 300, Arlington, VA 22203.
