Wilmington High School Recognizes 18 Seniors With Athletic Awards

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Athletic Department recently recognized 19 senior athletes with awards at the WHS Annual Senior Athletic Awards and Scholarship Night:

Lily MacKenzie and Michael Lawler received the Dr. Gerald Fagan Award for the Most Outstanding Wilmington High School Senior Athlete.

Molly MacDonald and Sean Patrone received the Ding Driscoll Award for the Senior Athlete demonstrating dedication to athletics at Wilmington High School.

Hannah Bryson and Bobby Cyr received the Lawrence Cushing Award for the senior demonstrating sportsmanship, scholarship, and athletic ability.

Kyla Kelley and Nick Iascone received the Joseph H. Woods Jr. Memorial Award to the senior athlete demonstrating courage, discipline and tenacity while attending Wilmington High School.

Paige Fuller and Michael Dynan received the Ryan Covino Award to the senior athlete (non-captain) who displays character, commitment and leadership while playing at Wilmington High School.

Mollie Osgood received the Jan Cassidy Wood Coaches Award to the female athlete who represents the finest quality of fair play, work ethic, perseverance, and athletic excellence.

Michael Oatis received the Richard Scanlon Coaches Award to the male athlete who represents the finest quality of fair play, work ethic, perseverance, and athletic excellence.

Ali Aboukal received the Jim Stewart Award to the male athlete whose achievements ad efforts in athletics exhibit perseverance and hard work unmatched by his peers.

Madelynne Judith Sainato received the Judy L. O’Connell Award to the female athlete whose achievements ad efforts in athletics exhibit perseverance and hard work unmatched by her peers.

Alexis Melvin and Hunter Sands received the Athletic Directors Choice Award to the senior athlete who has demonstrated character, commitment, academic success and leadership, while displaying the most desired characteristics of a Wilmington High School student athlete.

Alissa Ganley and Tiago Gomez received the Ed Harrison Athletic Leadership Award to the senior athlete who has exhibited outstanding leadership qualities supported by athletic achievement in sports.

Shivam Purohit received the Larry McGrath Distinguished Wildcat Service Award to an individual or organization who goes above and beyond modeling good sportsmanship and behavior while being recognized for their contributions to athletics.
