OBITUARY: Mark R. Sullivan, 67

WILMINGTON, MA — Mark R. Sullivan, of Wilmington, passed away at home on May 31, 2024. He was 67.

Born in Malden and raised in Somerville Mark was the son of the late Barbara A. (Egan) and Thomas R. Sullivan. He excelled at sports, especially baseball. Beginning with Somerville Little League, he went on to play for high school and college teams before playing semi-pro in Australia, Canada and Holland. Mark worked for Local 25’s Transportation Department for movies filmed in the Boston area. One of the former owners of the Bullpen Pub in Somerville. Worked for the last 20 years as a Sales Manager for Savini Roofing in Medford.

He was the devoted and cherished father of the late Brendan Sullivan who passed away in November 2020.

Dear brother of Maureen Zonghetti and her late husband Frank of Andover, Barbara O’Hearn and her husband John, Claire Mattson and her late husband Carl, all of Tewksbury, Thomas Sullivan and his wife Denise of Saratoga Springs, NY.

Loving uncle of John, Robert and Barbara O’Hearn, Lisa and Christopher Zonghetti, Taylor and Connor Sullivan. Great-uncle of Robert, Stephen, Alyssa, Sean, Madison and Ava. Mark is survived by many loyal friends, who considered him the “Mayor” of Somerville.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, Medford at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Calling Hours Wednesday 4-7pm.

Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks, 777 South Street, Tewksbury, MA.
