Below is a press release from the Wilmington Farmers Market:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Farmers Market returns for a 14th season, with opening day scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This year, the market is located on the Town Common while Town Hall Construction continues on Swain Green.
The Wilmington Farmers Market has been a staple in the community for over a decade, providing a direct link between local farmers, artisans, and residents. This season, visitors can look forward to an even broader selection of vendors, offering everything from organic vegetables and fruits to handmade crafts, baked goods, and more.
Opening Day Highlights:
Seedling Swap: Bring your favorite seeds to share and swap with fellow gardening enthusiasts. A great opportunity to diversify your garden with new plants and share your own treasures.
Live Music: Enjoy performances by local musicians Willie T & Doctor X throughout the morning, adding a lively atmosphere to the market experience.
Children’s Activities: Come by the Kids Tent to make a button.
$40 SNAP Matching: To support our community, we are offering an up to $40 matching program for SNAP recipients. For every dollar spent using SNAP benefits, recipients will receive an additional dollar to spend at the market, up to $40.
The Wilmington Farmers Market is also seeking volunteers to help with set up and break down, and to help at the kid’s table each week. Interested parties can contact wilmingtonfarmersmarket1@gmail.com or visit http://www.wilmingtonfarmersmarket.com for more information.
