WILMINGTON, MA — For the past fourteen years, the Merrimack Valley Superintendents Association (MVSA) has recognized two (2) students from each of their member schools nominated by the superintendent who have demonstrated excellence in their accomplishments both in the classroom and their community. It is our pleasure to announce that this years’ WPS recipients are Madison Benoit and Mantvydas Banevicius, both seniors at Wilmington High School.
Madison Benoit is an exceptional student and a noteworthy member of the class of 2024. Madison excels not only academically but also in extracurricular activities. Madison has shown her exceptional leadership skills by taking on numerous roles, such as Chair of the Student Advisory Committee, President of DECA, President of Best Buddies, Vice President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Model UN and Quartermaster of the Band. Madison plans to major in political science in the fall.
Mantvydas Banevicius is an impressive individual who excels in his academic pursuits and actively engages in our local and school communities. Mantvydas served as President of both the Chess Club and Math Club, Vice President of the Engineering and Science Clubs, and coleads the mechanical section of the Robotics Club, is a member of our swim and tennis teams, and works as an assistant teacher at Boston Lithuanian School. Mantvydas plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering in college.
