Summer Decor with Jordan Pitzen

Let’s style your outdoor spaces for the summer! Jordan Pitzen, interior designer and owner of At Home With Jordan, helps families create beautiful, comfortable surroundings in their homes without breaking the bank.

Town Wide Yard Sale
Saturday, June 8, 8am – 2pm
Don’t be left out! In the past, over 60 Wilmington households have participated each year and hundreds of shoppers found bargains at the annual Town Wide Yard Sale. This year’s sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library, and all proceeds from seller fees benefit the library. Stop by the library to grab a map of the homes participating to plan your route.

Royall House & Slave Quarters Tour
Saturday, June 8, 11am
The Royall House & Slave Quarters was home to the largest slaveholding family in Massachusetts and at least 60 enslaved women, men, and children. As one of the only remaining freestanding quarters where enslaved people lived and worked in the North, the museum bears witness to their lives and to the resistance and activism of enslaved and free Black people in the eighteenth century. Please note, we will be meeting at the museum! Directions will be provided to registrants a couple of days prior to the event.

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, June 3, 10am
The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. The first playgroup of every month will focus on infants and toddlers. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

Lil’ Bookworms Book Club
Monday, June 3, 4pm
A book club for students in Kindergarten through Grade 2. Children will enjoy a variety of books while practicing reading and comprehension skills. Each session will end with time to socialize during a craft or activity! Grades K-2

OFFSITE Bilingual Story Hour
Wednesday, June 5, 3pm
The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Practice using your home language with us! Our staff will be here with an interpreter speaking Haitian Creole. At our playgroup we will work on Early Literacy skills and more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. This session will be at Funway Park in Tewksbury! Ages 0-6 and their caregivers

Family Movie Night: Despicable Me

In anticipation of Despicable Me 4’s release next month, come wear your pjs and bring something comfy to sit on for this special library event! Watch the first Despicable Me and enjoy delicious popcorn! All ages

Storytime Steps
Thursday, June 6, 11am
Through improvisation, storytime, and creative exercises, dance encourages imaginative thinking and nurtures a child’s creativity. We can’t wait to move and read with you soon! Join Dancing Buns Studios for a fun and interactive dance, storytime, and movement class! Ages 3-6 with caregiver

Kids N Harmony
Friday, June 7, 10am
Join musician James Lepler for an interactive performance for children aged 0-6 and their caregivers! Sing and dance along to a high energy mix of original and traditional songs! Ages 0-6

LEGO Building
Friday, June 7, 4pm
Build with LEGOs at the same time as other other LEGO fans and display what you make in the library! Grades K-5

Teen DnD
Saturday, June 8, 3pm
Interested in finding out more about this fantasy tabletop role-playing game, or looking for a group to play with? This month’s session will be IN PERSON at the library. You may also participate on Discord, a private server. We use DnDBeyond to track and create our characters. Grades 6-12

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.

Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.

ToeJamPuppetBand

Register HERE for our annual Summer Reading Kickoff! This year, enjoy a high energy and interactive show by the Toe Jam Puppet Band! This event will be held on the Town Common on Monday, June 17th at 6pm.
