WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.
The meeting will be streamed live on WCTV.org and on WCTV.
There are several noteworthy items on the meeting agenda, including:
- The School Committee will discuss the process for evaluating the Superintendent.
- The School Committee will review 11 policies, including one involving the naming of school facilities.
- School Superintendent Dr. Glenn Brand will recognize School Committee Student Representative Madison Benoit. Brand will also announce Wilmington’s MVSA scholars.
- Superintendent Brand will provide an update on the district’s strategic plan, as well as information on a summer reading program.
- The School Committee will consider approving a field trip to London in April 2026.
- The School Committee will conduct its annual reorganization when it elects a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. Members will also receive their subcommittee assignments for the next 12 months.
The School Committee will also hear any public comments, correspondence, and subcommittee reports.
The School Committee will end the meeting by going into an Executive Session to discuss administrative contracts and salaries.
