5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Sunday, May 19, 2024: Car Wash For WHS Lacrosse Team

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, May 19, 2024:

• The Wilmington High School High School Boys Lacrosse Team is holding a car wash fundraiser, from 9am to noon, outside the Wilmington Public Buildings Department (30 Church Street). Donations of any size are appreciated. Cash or Venmo (@Wilmington_Lacrosse) accepted.
• The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) invites you to a Meal Packing Event, beginning at noon, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, for Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. • TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
• CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
• ENTER A RAFFLE: The Wilmington High School Lacrosse Boosters is running a Solo Stove Pizza Oven Raffle. Tickets cost $30 each or 2 for $50. Only 100 tickets will be sold. Venmo to @Wilmington-Lacrosse and comment with your contact info. Raffle proceeds will benefit the lacrosse program. The winner will be announced on May 22, 2024.  Learn more HERE.
