OBITUARY: Linda A. (Weatherbee) Tirone, 77

WILMINGTON, MA — Linda A. Tirone (Weatherbee), age 77, of Billerica, passed away peacefully at home on May 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on February 10, 1947, in Boston, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Brice and Alice (Bairt) Weatherbee. As a young girl, Linda, moved to Wilmington, with her family where she was raised and educated. She met the “love of her life” Marco Tirone when she was a teenager; they have been inseparable for over 60 years, raised two wonderful children (Lisa & Michael) and are the proud grandparents of their four grandsons.

Linda was the beloved wife of Marco Tirone, devoted mother of Lisa Button and Michael Tirone and his wife Katie who all reside in Billerica. Loving “Grammy” of Michael Button, Jr., Eric Tirone, Mason Tirone, and Cole Tirone. She was the dear sister of Gerald Weatherbee and his wife Donna of North Carolina, Ronald Weatherbee and his wife Lucille of Florida, David Weatherbee and his wife Ann of Maine, the late Sandra Clough, the late Patricia Brown, and the late Mark Weatherbee. Linda is survived by her husband, two children, four grandchildren, three brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss her dearly.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, May 15th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Linda’s life will take place at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
