DONE DEAL? Select Board Expected To Sign Contract With Incoming Town Manager Eric Slagle At May 13 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, May 13, 2024 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on Monday night’s agenda, including:

  • The Select Board will vote on executing a contract with incoming Town Manager Eric Slagle.
  • The Select Board will vote on executing a contract with the Wilmington Police Supervisors Association.
  • Temporary Town Manager Lou Cimaglia will provide a written update on the appointment of Judy O’Connell to the role of Assistant Town Manager.
  • Cimaglia will provide a written update on the town’s bonding rating.
  • The Select Board will consider authorizing bond insurance relative to the New Senior Center and New Town Hall/School Business Administration building projects.
  • The Select Board will consider appointing Dennis Rooney (term to expire April 30, 2026) and Sean Milne (term to expire on April 30, 2027) to the Wilmington Board of Appeals.
  • The Select Board will consider requests of Aaronap Cellars and Blisspoint Meadery to obtain farmers market winery licenses to sell at the 2024 Wilmington Farmers Market.
  • The Select Board will consider the request of the Wilmington Historical Commission to offer beer tastings at their “Night At The Museum” event at the Town Museum on Sunday, June 9.
  • The Select Board will recognize Wilmington Youth Hockey’s Bantam 1 Team.
  • The Select Board will conduct its annual reorganization where it typically names a new chair.

The Select Board will be meeting in Executive Session beginning at 6:15pm to discuss the Town Manager’s contract and the Fire Fighters collective bargaining.
