WILMINGTON, MA — Born in Fort Kent, Maine on January 25, 1929, Ernestine “Bidou” McVicker passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, MA, on April 4, 2024, after a long illness.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leo J. McVicker and her daughter Jeanne Mundie. She is survived by her son Robert McVicker and daughter-in-law Kathleen McVicker, daughter Katherine Hoffmann and partner Bruce Stephen, son-in-law Gregory Mundie, Grandchildren Zachary McVicker, his wife Sarah, Colin Mundie, Evan Mundie, Marisa McVicker, Rachel Fernandes Duarte and her husband Aron, Julia Hoffmann, and great-grandson Jason McVicker.
35-year residents of Wilmington, Bidou and Leo also lived in Rockport and for many years in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Bidou is remembered for her love of music, family and for her devotion to her church.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 24th at 10:30 at Saint Agnes Church, 186 Woburn Street, Reading MA. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
