Adult Programs

Needleworkers at Night
Monday, May 6, 6pm
These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in. This group meets every Monday in the cozy seating area of the first floor of the library.

Baking with Chili Crisp Demo – with Nine Winters Bakery
Tuesday, May 7, 6pm
Marissa Ferola, baker and founder of Nine Winters Bakery in Somerville, MA, will teach us how to make chili crisp toffee and chili crisp peanut butter cookies. And yes, samples will be provided!

Craft & Chat
Wednesday, May 8, 6:30pm
Enjoy making a craft while socializing with others! This craft group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. All craft supplies provided. This month’s featured craft is a Bunny Plaque.

Needleworkers
Friday, May 10, 10am
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.

Time for Twos

Join us at our Time for Twos! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Age 2

Bilingual Story Hour
Wednesday, May 8, 3pm
The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Practice using your home language with us! Our staff will be here with an interpreter speaking Haitian Creole. At our playgroup we will work on Early Literacy skills and more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6 and their caregivers

Girls Who Code
Wednesday, May 8, 6pm
Girls Who Code is an organization that aims to close the gender gap in STEM fields by teaching girls to code. Over the twelve weeks you’ll learn about coding, women in the STEM fields, and work together to code your own project. Grades 3-5

Baby Time
Thursday, May 9, 10am
Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months

Crafternoon: Paper Chain Wall Hanging

Lil’ Bookworms
Friday, May 10, 4pm
A book club for students in Kindergarten through Grade 2. Children will enjoy a variety of books while practicing reading and comprehension skills. Each session will end with time to socialize during a craft or activity! Grades K-2

Intro to Drawing Anime/Manga
Saturday, May 11, 2pm
Are you interested in beginning to draw manga style characters or want to improve your skills? Learn basics of anime style illustration from a freelance illustrator! We’ll practice drawing fundamentals such as line quality and basic shapes. We’ll also talk about character design, beginner mistakes, and resources for drawing. Grades 6-12

Teen DnD
Saturday, May 11, 3pm
Interested in finding out more about this fantasy tabletop role-playing game, or looking for a group to play with? This month’s session will be IN PERSON at the library. You may also participate on Discord, a private server. We use DnDBeyond to track and create our characters. Grades 6-12

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.

Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!

WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.

WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.

TownWideYardSale

Town Wide Yard Sale applications are available at the library for the first 60 applicants! The seller fee is $20, which includes free signs and promotion. The application deadline is May 15th, with the Yard Sale itself taking place on June 8th from 8am to 2pm.
