Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Minutemen:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Minutemen will raise a new Liberty Pole at Rotary Park on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 1pm.
The pole will be dedicated to the late Mike Kelley, the Minutemen’s former chaplain.
A liberty pole is “a tall flagpole, traditionally with a liberty cap at the top, serving as a symbol of liberty.”
Numerous town and state officials will be in attendance.
Several Minutemen groups will provide a Musket Volley.
The public invited to participate in this celebration.
