Below is a roadway paving notice from the Wilmington Department of Public Works:
HOPKINS STREET (SHAWSHEEN AVE TO BILLERICA TOWN LINE)
UPTON DRIVE (FROM ANDOVER STREET, 500 FEET)
Please be advised that the Wilmington Department of Public Works will be grinding and resurfacing the above roadways potentially starting the week of April 29, 2024, weather permitting. This date may be slightly altered due to potential delays with the town’s roadway contractor.
During operations, no street parking will be allowed.
Partial lane closures and full road closures are anticipated. Hopkins Street will be closed in the westbound direction toward Billerica during operations. Seek Alternate Route.
Local residents will have access to their properties, although there may be short delays. Please refer to social media for updates as the construction date approaches.
Please obey the directives of police details, detour signs, and warning signs during all construction operations, and again, please do not park on the street during construction.
