Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Police Department:
WILMINGTON, MA — A 27-year-old male from New York was arrested on Sunday, April 7, 2024 for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Drivers License. He was also found to have an active arrest warrant. At the time he was stopped by one of our officers, he was actively soliciting paving work.
We want to remind residents that there are a lot of scammers out there that go door-to-door soliciting for paving, chimney, and home improvement work. Legitimate solicitors are verified by the WPD and are issued a Town of Wilmington Solicitors Permit to wear while they are working.
